When Sunshine was 3, I gave him my old laptop. He sees me typing on my computer all the time and wants to do the same. When he was little, he would just type letters he knew or make up words and have me read them. Now that he is older and he is able to recognized most letters, so we started him retyping a book he likes called “I Forgot”. It has been a good challenge for him because there are upper and lower case letters along with punctuations. He finds it funny to hear me read out loud ”.” or “?” because he now recognizes what these are. Almost every night, he types 1 to 2 pages. We are almost done and he can’t wait to print his copied book.
