For Christmas, we got Sunshine a Snow In The Bucket. It’s his favorite gift even over Legos and electric trains. For only $15, he has been having loads of fun and getting a taste of winter. We’ve been having a very dry and sunny winter, not that I’m complaining.
So, what’s he playing with? It’s superabsorbent polymer (similar to something you would find in a diaper) which absorbs waters and turns into artificial snow. Surprising, a little bit goes a long way. We had 3 afternoons of this stuff. Sunshine couldn’t get enough of the snow. We even created snow balls and froze them. He and neighborhood kids had fun throwing them in the backyard!
It is a bit messy so I do recommend putting everything in a big plastic bin.
